Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jamel Meyer kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Woodlyn FC got a freekick which was hit by Ollie Staley. If Jamel Meyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. Clark Lacey's late challenge caught a Pearl River's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clark Lacey helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Woodlyn FC's Clark Lacey got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13th match minute, Pearl River was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brett Sorensen to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Leonard McGee sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pearl River's Alexander Jefferson didn't even have to move. After having played for 18 minutes, Felipe Booth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pearl River's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Booth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nathaniel Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamel Meyer in the 21st minute of play. If Ollie Staley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Woodlyn FC's Nathaniel Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamel Meyer in the 33rd minute of play. Felipe Booth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathaniel Miranda having to interfere. A collision led to Woodlyn FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ollie Staley hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Pearl River's Brett Sorensen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nathaniel Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Booth in the 39th minute of the match. When Pearl River's Jamel Meyer in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Woodlyn FC's goalie prevented a goal. Pearl River's Jamel Meyer got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Alexander Jefferson managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Woodlyn FC's Ignacio Puckett fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cole Bell made a kick off. Darnell Diaz's late challenge caught a Woodlyn FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Darnell Diaz helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes Pearl River got a freekick which was hit by Darnell Diaz. 58 minutes into the match, Woodlyn FC's Ignacio Puckett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexander Jefferson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pearl River's Felipe Booth got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Ignacio Puckett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woodlyn FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Puckett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Jefferson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the match, Woodlyn FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jamel Meyer came free, but Nathaniel Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Woodlyn FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ollie Staley hit a great ball. Nathaniel Miranda was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Brett Sorensen. Nathaniel Miranda came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Pearl River's Felipe Booth. But to his dismay, Felipe Booth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Pearl River's Alexander Jefferson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ollie Staley in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, one of Pearl River:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alexander Jefferson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cole Bell, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Nathaniel Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jamel Meyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Clark Lacey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Pearl River's Brett Sorensen tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 98th match minute, Woodlyn FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clark Lacey to maneuver through the defense. Jamel Meyer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nathaniel Miranda came out and tried to block the shot, but Jamel Meyer slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 99th minute. The Pearl River supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pearl River would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
