Rolf Annan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Rafael Suggs came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Western Springs AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Suggs couldn't finish the play. Rolf Annan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Suggs in the 12th minute of play. Markus Shearer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Edmund Orozco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Hollis in the 22nd minute of play forced Western Springs AFC's goalkeeper Edmund Orozco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Markus Shearer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolf Annan. Raymondville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Markus Shearer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 29 minutes, Markus Shearer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Western Springs AFC and the Raymondville players grew even worse after the yellow card. Markus Shearer kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Rafael Suggs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolf Annan having to make a save. Hugh Morton hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Rolf Annan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Shearer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Raymondville's zone, Dwayne Miller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolf Annan came out of the goal and Dwayne Miller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute Rafael Suggs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolf Annan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolf Annan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Suggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Markus Shearer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rolf Annan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolf Annan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Shearer in the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugh Morton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rolf Annan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Burch in the 51st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Dwayne Miller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolf Annan was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Rafael Suggs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 63 minutes into the game, when Sherman Dougherty put in a rough tackle. In the 62nd minute, one of Raymondville:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Raymondville. Rolf Annan went to the wrong direction when Bernardo Cartwright was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Rolf Annan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Suggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Markus Shearer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dillon Beck hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Raymondville's Rolf Annan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Suggs in the 77th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Western Springs AFC's Rafael Suggs slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolf Annan. That made the score 1-3 after 81 minutes of play. Rafael Suggs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Rolf Annan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Western Springs AFC's Rafael Suggs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolf Annan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Markus Shearer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Annan having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Raymondville's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Suggs came free, but Rolf Annan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Suggs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolf Annan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Rafael Suggs made a precise shot to the right of Rolf Annan. Raymondville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4.
