Gilbert Hutchinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintin Wynn, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Quintin Wynn made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joey Fontenot in the 52nd minute of play forced New Eagle AFC's goalkeeper Gilbert Hutchinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jess Keenan came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by New Eagle AFC's Scotty Foote. But to his dismay, Scotty Foote quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 62nd minute Robby Church suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. New Eagle AFC's Ernie Gore was substituted for Robby Church. After a rather tough play, Fox Lake Hills AFC's Davis Alexander got a free kick in the 64th minute. Jerry Thorne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, New Eagle AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Kemp came free, but Gilbert Hutchinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Scotty Foote got free with Jess Keenan in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute, Fox Lake Hills AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Scotty Foote fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ferdinand Starr kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Gilbert Hutchinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintin Wynn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernie Gore ran back to his position shaking his head. The Fox Lake Hills AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. New Eagle AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
