Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Giuseppe Ryan made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cats's goalkeeper Riley Holliday, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 18 minutes into the game, Cats's Giuseppe Ryan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kyle Epps made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Guillermo Mattson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Kyle Epps tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giuseppe Ryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kyle Epps showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Mattson, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Kyle Epps stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guillermo Mattson's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Giuseppe Ryan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Epps having to interfere. After 36 played minutes Pinardville got a freekick which was hit by Scott Whatley. Giuseppe Ryan spun around in front of the goal 37 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Pinardville's goal. In the 40th minute, Abdul Storey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Foster McIntosh, 41 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Kyle Epps showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Ryan, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Guillermo Mattson struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Kyle Epps didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cats. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgardo Hutchins to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgardo Hutchins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the game, Christian Adkins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cats's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinardville the free kick. After 56 played minutes Cats got a freekick which was hit by Christian Adkins. If Edgardo Hutchins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sean Carmona hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Pinardville's Darnell Carrasco tried to score from far away in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 62 minutes, Edgardo Hutchins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinardville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Hutchins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Giuseppe Ryan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kyle Epps. Pinardville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giuseppe Ryan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 73 minutes into the match, Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Hutchins came free, but Riley Holliday reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Riley Holliday showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doug Mims, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 86th match minute, Cats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Owen Dobson to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Pinardville's Darnell Carrasco tried to score from far away in the 87th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Pinardville's Kyle Epps proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Pinardville from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cats eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
