The crowd rose to their feet as King-Clovers's Heriberto Connor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Geoffrey Carlton. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Heriberto Connor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. King-Clovers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heriberto Connor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 25 minutes, Tom Lynn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the King-Clovers and the Cottonwhistle players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute of the match Jeffrey Law shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danny Delgado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A hard shot 29 in the game by Sean Daley from a close distance when the talented Geoffrey Carlton managed to make a qualified save. Cottonwhistle's players were relieved. King-Clovers's Danny Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Hays in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Willie Burks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. King-Clovers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cottonwhistle the free kick. Willie Burks hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Sean Daley scored 2-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geoffrey Carlton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Heriberto Connor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Geoffrey Carlton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heriberto Connor in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, King-Clovers's Heriberto Connor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geoffrey Carlton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aurelio Wiseman charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelio Wiseman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cottonwhistle getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. The supporters of King-Clovers booed when Cottonwhistle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carson Brunson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to King-Clovers getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tom Lynn hit a great ball. When Sean Daley came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the King-Clovers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sean Daley couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Cottonwhistle's zone, Loren Elkins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geoffrey Carlton came out of the goal and Loren Elkins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danny Delgado was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rudy Timmons showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 71 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carson Brunson during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carson Brunson hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Luciano Adair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geoffrey Carlton having to interfere. If Heriberto Connor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85thth minute of the game Sean Daley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cottonwhistle's Geoffrey Carlton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geoffrey Carlton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sean Daley went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Geoffrey Carlton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Daley in the 92nd minute of play. Sean Daley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geoffrey Carlton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Heriberto Connor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Geoffrey Carlton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. King-Clovers walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
