Charlton Dickerson started the match with the kick off. If Rudolph Beckman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute Charlton Dickerson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derek Carey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlton Dickerson in the 17th minute of play forced Colorado FC's goalkeeper Derek Carey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kurt Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glizzy FC's Charlton Dickerson got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charlton Dickerson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Derek Carey came out and tried to block the shot, but Charlton Dickerson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Colorado FC's zone, Charlton Dickerson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derek Carey came out of the goal and Charlton Dickerson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Colorado FC's Derek Carey got control of the ball when Kurt Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Derek Carey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodger Lovett in the 33rd minute of play. Colorado FC's Derek Carey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlton Dickerson in the 35th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Charlton Dickerson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glizzy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Charlton Dickerson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Derek Carey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 played minutes Colorado FC got a freekick which was hit by Emery Pratt. Geraldo Laws was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Kurt Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kurt Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emery Pratt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodger Lovett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Derek Carey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlton Dickerson in the 58th minute of the match. When Glizzy FC's Kurt Rossi in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colorado FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 66th minute, Daren Barger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charlton Dickerson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Derek Carey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Kurt Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derek Carey having to interfere. Emery Pratt kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Charlton Dickerson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Derek Carey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rudolph Beckman hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Colorado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Rossi came free, but Derek Carey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Emery Pratt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colorado FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glizzy FC the free kick. In the 94th match minute, Colorado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emery Pratt to maneuver through the defense. Glizzy FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
