Oatfield FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moses Larkin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 9th minute, Moses Larkin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hillandale fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ricky Thomson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Callahan in the 12th minute of play. Son McRae hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Daron Skinner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 52nd minute, Ted Callahan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ricky Thomson, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 53 minutes, Ted Callahan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hillandale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ted Callahan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Son McRae kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Jonathan Garner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daron Skinner in the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hillandale's zone, Tracey Pritchett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Garner came out of the goal and Tracey Pritchett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ted Callahan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 played minutes Oatfield FC got a freekick which was hit by Tracey Pritchett. Daron Skinner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Garner having to interfere.
