The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. MoneySly SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moses Larkin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Moses Larkin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cory Boyce having to make a save. Jonathan Garner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wallace Winter in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Ted Callahan made a precise shot to the right of Cory Boyce. MoneySly SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. MoneySly SC's Cory Boyce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Son McRae in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Evan Lofton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Garner, 1-2. Moses Larkin hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hillandale's zone, Wallace Winter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Garner came out of the goal and Wallace Winter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, MoneySly SC's goal looked a bit too open when Son McRae came free, but Cory Boyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Evan Lofton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moses Larkin in the 38th minute of play forced MoneySly SC's goalkeeper Cory Boyce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Art Sorensen hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The supporters of Hillandale booed when MoneySly SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Kenney didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute, Ted Callahan made a precise shot to the right of Cory Boyce. MoneySly SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evan Lofton to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Evan Lofton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the game, Evan Lofton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. After having played for 91 minutes, Evan Lofton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MoneySly SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evan Lofton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of Hillandale were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant MoneySly SC side.
