Cory Boyce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daron Skinner in the 7th minute of the match. Evan Lofton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricky Thomson having to interfere. After 16 minutes of play, MoneySly SC's Evan Lofton made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricky Thomson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute, Wallace Winter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Oatfield FC's goalkeeper Ricky Thomson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evan Lofton. Wallace Winter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bob MacDonald kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Cory Boyce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daron Skinner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oatfield FC's Daron Skinner got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Evan Lofton might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricky Thomson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oatfield FC's goalkeeper Ricky Thomson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Evan Lofton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricky Thomson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Daron Skinner might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cory Boyce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daron Skinner ran back to his position shaking his head. Tracey Pritchett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute.
