But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evan Lofton couldn't finish the play. Evan Lofton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricky Thomson having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Wallace Winter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MoneySly SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oatfield FC the free kick. A collision led to MoneySly SC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Wallace Winter hit a great ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Daron Skinner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oatfield FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daron Skinner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute Daron Skinner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cory Boyce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evan Lofton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 95th minute, Wallace Winter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. MoneySly SC's Evan Lofton got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Oatfield FC were victorious despite being under pressure from MoneySly SC for much of the match.
