Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 11 minutes into the game, Chris Whitney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lathrop's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruidoso the free kick. After having played for 12 minutes, Bryant Goodman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruidoso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bryant Goodman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mel Denson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Bryant Goodman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Marcellus Tran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bryant Goodman in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcellus Tran saved Lathrop from getting behind. If Bryant Goodman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruidoso's goalkeeper Charles Cassidy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Markus McDaniel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dominic Thomson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dominic Thomson to strike the kick off in the second half. If Lucien Hunter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcellus Tran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryant Goodman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antony West fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcellus Tran having to interfere. Antony West sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 played minutes Lathrop got a freekick which was hit by Chance Hooper. In the 71st minute Bryant Goodman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcellus Tran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dominic Thomson took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles Cassidy. Charles Cassidy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 81st minute, Dominic Thomson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charles Cassidy was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Dominic Thomson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Cassidy having to interfere. Bryant Goodman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chance Hooper hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 94th match minute, Lathrop was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus McDaniel to maneuver through the defense. Dante Ramirez, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Lathrop's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
