In the 6th minute, Wilmer Ramsey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stuart Montgomery made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilmer Ramsey in the 12th minute. Wilmer Ramsey's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Stuart Montgomery firmly grabbed it by the left post. Stuart Montgomery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ervin Tillman in the 16th minute of play. Hurlingham Warriors's Stuart Montgomery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ervin Tillman in the 18th minute of play. Sonny McCullough didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stanford Johns went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Hurlingham Warriors getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Emanuel York hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Hurlingham Warriors's Dillon Valdez got a free kick in the 27th minute. Cuba FC's Sean Montgomery couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hurlingham Warriors. After having played for 37 minutes, Ervin Tillman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ervin Tillman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Ervin Tillman put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Stuart Montgomery. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ervin Tillman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ervin Tillman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stuart Montgomery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Owen Delarosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stanford Johns scored 1-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sonny McCullough, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilmer Ramsey in the 82nd minute of play forced Hurlingham Warriors's goalkeeper Stuart Montgomery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
