Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Moses Goodman kicked off to start the match. Fort Atkinson's Rashad Hutchinson got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When West Linn AFC's Troy Lester in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fort Atkinson's goalie prevented a goal. Fort Atkinson's Rashad Hutchinson got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rashad Hutchinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marquis Echols came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Fort Atkinson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marquis Echols couldn't finish the play. After having played for 26 minutes, Al Lehman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fort Atkinson's supporters crossed their fingers, but Al Lehman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to West Linn AFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Wally Kennedy hit a great ball. Fort Atkinson's Al Lehman got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ervin Coley came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by West Linn AFC's Moses Goodman. But to his dismay, Moses Goodman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 41 minutes into the match, West Linn AFC's goalkeeper Boyd Avalos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Al Lehman. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Al Lehman was the one to do the kick off. Rashad Hutchinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moses Goodman in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ervin Coley saved Fort Atkinson from getting behind. Troy Lester struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Ervin Coley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Linn AFC. Ervin Coley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moses Goodman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boyd Avalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Al Lehman in the 62nd minute of the match. Moses Goodman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, West Linn AFC's Ervin Coley threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Moses Goodman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 83 minutes into the game, Moses Goodman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ervin Coley. Moses Goodman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Fort Atkinson's Al Lehman got a free kick in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Fort Atkinson's goal looked a bit too open when Moses Goodman came free, but Ervin Coley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Fort Atkinson's goal looked a bit too open when Moses Goodman came free, but Ervin Coley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Troy Lester managed to get in a good position for a shot. West Linn AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Troy Lester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ervin Coley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rashad Hutchinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The West Linn AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
