If Sydney Kidd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severo Gorbea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Judd, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Mitchell Acuna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Burlington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mitchell Acuna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Douglass Mobley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Daniel Judd made a precise shot to the right of Severo Gorbea. Benton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 28th minute, Sydney Kidd left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Benton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. West Burlington's Daren Randall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglass Mobley in the 33rd minute of play. Severo Gorbea made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Ron Kimbrough sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes into the match, Benton's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Judd came free, but Severo Gorbea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 played minutes, West Burlington's Mitchell Acuna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Severo Gorbea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in West Burlington reached it. Daren Randall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglass Mobley, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 48thth minute of the game Douglass Mobley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but West Burlington's Daren Randall was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Sydney Kidd made the kick off in the second half. Daren Randall made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Sydney Kidd sent off a good shot on target. Severo Gorbea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Judd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severo Gorbea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Kimbrough, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Ron Kimbrough recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Judd struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Severo Gorbea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Burlington. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron Kimbrough in the 91st minute of play forced Benton's goalkeeper Severo Gorbea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. West Burlington were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Benton to leave the ground with a draw.
