When Ramiro Domenec fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Benton's protests and gave Ramiro Domenec a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Zalgiris AC booed when Benton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Domenec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severo Gorbea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregory Lewis, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Douglass Mobley took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ari Engel. Ari Engel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Zalgiris AC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. C.J. Locke hit a great ball. Wiley Dumas hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglass Mobley in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ari Engel saved Zalgiris AC from getting behind. Sydney Kidd struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Ari Engel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benton. Ari Engel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Kidd in the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Zalgiris AC's goal looked a bit too open when Douglass Mobley came free, but Ari Engel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zalgiris AC's Ari Engel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglass Mobley in the 43rd minute of play. Severo Gorbea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Pennington, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pierre Pennington made a kick off. The supporters of Benton booed when Zalgiris AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiley Dumas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregory Lewis in the 57th minute of play forced Benton's goalkeeper Severo Gorbea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sydney Kidd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ari Engel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Douglass Mobley reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ari Engel. The goal made the score 0-3. Timmy Castillo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Pierre Pennington struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Severo Gorbea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zalgiris AC. The audience held their breath when Gregory Lewis in the 79th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Severo Gorbea's left hand side. The supporters of Zalgiris AC booed when Benton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmy Castillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierre Pennington recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sydney Kidd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ari Engel made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timmy Castillo during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Zalgiris AC booed when Benton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmy Castillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierre Pennington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Severo Gorbea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Casper Dubois managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benton's supporters rose to their feet, but Casper Dubois was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ari Engel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Zalgiris AC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Benton to win.
