The tension between the Wimbledon F.C and the Milwaukee players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd match minute, Wimbledon F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trevor Hatch to maneuver through the defense. If Whitney Howe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Rusty Michaud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Whitney Howe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Terrence Huffman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Denis Miranda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rusty Michaud was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Rusty Michaud was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Denis Miranda capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Denis Miranda really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 38th match minute, Milwaukee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Miranda to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute of the match, Denis Miranda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rusty Michaud saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Whitney Howe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rusty Michaud having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denis Miranda to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Milwaukee's Eduardo McNeill got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Wimbledon F.C's Kirk Ortega got a free kick in the 54th minute. Rusty Michaud was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gerardo Kirk hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Rusty Michaud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Whitney Howe, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Whitney Howe in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rusty Michaud saved Wimbledon F.C from getting behind. Whitney Howe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Rusty Michaud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Wimbledon F.C's Edmundo Combs got a free kick in the 85th minute. Whitney Howe struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Rusty Michaud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milwaukee. In the 89thth minute of the game Denis Miranda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wimbledon F.C's Rusty Michaud was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Denis Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rusty Michaud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Whitney Howe in the 96th minute of play forced Wimbledon F.C's goalkeeper Rusty Michaud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
