Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Lyle Riddle got free with Milan Bland in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 5th minute, Tracy Baez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, FC Cincinnati's goal looked a bit too open when Reed Deering came free, but Milan Bland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Cincinnati's Milan Bland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save FC Cincinnati from getting a goal against them. Reed Deering might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Milan Bland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reed Deering ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th match minute, FC Cincinnati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merlin Sandoval to maneuver through the defense. Lyle Riddle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC Cincinnati's Milan Bland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reed Deering in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Toby Friedman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of FC Cincinnati booed when Edwardsville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lyle Riddle didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Reed Deering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, FC Cincinnati's goal looked a bit too open when Reed Deering came free, but Milan Bland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sean Braxton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Simons in the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Reed Deering made the kick off in the second half. If Murray Spence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milan Bland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reed Deering, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lyle Riddle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Cincinnati's Milan Bland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reed Deering in the 65th minute of play. Edwardsville's Lyle Riddle got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lyle Riddle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milan Bland having to interfere. If Frank Simons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lyle Riddle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Lyle Riddle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edwardsville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lyle Riddle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Milan Bland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reed Deering, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The supporters of Edwardsville booed when FC Cincinnati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Brooks didn't get a good kick on the ball.
