Trentwood FC's Tristan Salas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiley Cortes in the 10th minute of play. Tristan Salas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiley Cortes, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute Wiley Cortes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Salas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes Trentwood FC got a freekick which was hit by Marlon Moss. 17 minutes into the game, Randy Escobedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. East Washington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trentwood FC the free kick. Randy Escobedo hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Charles Bagley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Peoples having to interfere. Rudolph Saucedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, East Washington's Sylvester McKenna got a free kick in the 30th minute. Trentwood FC's Troy Hope couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for East Washington. An unexpectedly hard shot by Troy Zimmer in the 33rd minute of play forced East Washington's goalkeeper Andreas Peoples to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trentwood FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Wiley Cortes scored to the left of an out of position Tristan Salas, making the score, 1-0. In the 48th minute, Sylvester McKenna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Troy Hope took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 49th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Andreas Peoples. East Washington's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 53rd minute, Troy Zimmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 54 minutes into the game, Sylvester McKenna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The audience was convinced that Wiley Cortes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tristan Salas was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. If Dante Rhoades had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohammad Stark kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Trentwood FC's Rudolph Saucedo got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to East Washington getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Sylvester McKenna hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The East Washington fans cheered their team off the field, for while Trentwood FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
