Javier Nixon scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phillip Regan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Javier Nixon kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Shelton Randall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Ledbetter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shelton Randall in the 22nd minute of play forced Benna Boys FC's goalkeeper Sonny Ledbetter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Ramiro Shepherd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Shelton Randall put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sonny Ledbetter. Phillip Regan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chance Bearden, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Shelton Randall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barnstable Village AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shelton Randall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ramiro Shepherd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barnstable Village AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramiro Shepherd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sonny Ledbetter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramiro Shepherd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eddy Swenson, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Benna Boys FC's goalkeeper Sonny Ledbetter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Barnstable Village AFC's Shelby Acuna seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Shelby Acuna the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Barnstable Village AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Shelby Acuna had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barnstable Village AFC! In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Benna Boys FC. Dillon Richard stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Phillip Regan. 2-1. The supporters of Benna Boys FC booed when Barnstable Village AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Shepherd didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ramiro Shepherd came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Barnstable Village AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Shepherd couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Benna Boys FC could leave the field as winners, despite Barnstable Village AFC having more of the ball for most of the match.
