Ollie Gunn charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ollie Gunn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Barnstable Village AFC's Ollie Gunn got a free kick in the 5th minute. Heriberto Willis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wallace Gabriel hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the game, Wallace Gabriel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barnstable Village AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Wing the free kick. After 14 played minutes Barnstable Village AFC got a freekick which was hit by Wallace Gabriel. Ramiro Shepherd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Pierre Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute Shelton Randall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramiro Shepherd might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pierre Rodrigues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramiro Shepherd ran back to his position shaking his head. 42 minutes into the match, Barnstable Village AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aidan Sousa came free, but Phillip Regan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aidan Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillip Regan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shelton Randall in the 46th minute of play forced Red Wing's goalkeeper Pierre Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 48 minutes of play, Barnstable Village AFC's Ramiro Shepherd made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pierre Rodrigues was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 55th minute, Aidan Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57thth minute of the game Heriberto Willis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barnstable Village AFC's Phillip Regan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Donnie Hearn charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 58th match minute, Red Wing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donnie Hearn to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute of the match Ollie Gunn sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pierre Rodrigues skillfully saved the ball. Aidan Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Barnstable Village AFC's Shelton Randall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pierre Rodrigues narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pierre Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Shepherd, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Shelton Randall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel McCauley's late challenge caught a Barnstable Village AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Red Wing's Pierre Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shelton Randall in the 88th minute of play. Pierre Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shelton Randall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shelton Randall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pierre Rodrigues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Aidan Sousa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heriberto Willis in the 96th minute of play forced Barnstable Village AFC's goalkeeper Phillip Regan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aidan Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
