Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Garth Sprague started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Sturtevant AFC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Terry Luna hit a great ball. In the 6th minute of the match, Vincent Meza got a very nice opportunity to score, but Allan Childress was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Littlejohn in the 16th minute of play forced Cockermouth United's goalkeeper Phil Dooley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vincent Meza hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 19 minutes, Ronald McCracken made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cockermouth United's Phil Dooley tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Allan Childress made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Meza in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Vincent Meza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Allan Childress, 1-1. Allan Childress made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Sprague in the 27th minute of play. Allan Childress took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Sprague, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ronald McCracken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Hal Prince managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sturtevant AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hal Prince was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phil Dooley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 played minutes Cockermouth United got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Meza. In the 41st minute of the match Ronald McCracken shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phil Dooley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 42nd minute, Shawn Tompkins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Allan Childress. The goal made the score 2-1.

Vincent Meza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phil Dooley made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Julio Chester sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Cockermouth United getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Vicente Tate hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the game, Vincent Meza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Allan Childress was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 70 minutes into the match, Cockermouth United's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Littlejohn came free, but Phil Dooley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Childress showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Meza in the 73rd minute of the match. After 76 played minutes Sturtevant AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ronald McCracken. In the 79th minute, Julio Chester got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Sturtevant AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Tate came free, but Allan Childress reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Chester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Phil Dooley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sturtevant AFC's Filiberto Littlejohn got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Chester in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Phil Dooley, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
