Van Ortega came out and tried to block the shot, but Micah Tompkins slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. After 26 played minutes Woodstock got a freekick which was hit by Tad Toney. With a little luck, Woodstock's Van Ortega got control of the ball when Josef Tang tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Woodstock's goalkeeper Van Ortega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josef Tang. A hard shot 34 in the game by Josef Tang from a close distance when the talented Van Ortega managed to make a qualified save. Woodstock's players were relieved. After 35 played minutes Woodstock got a freekick which was hit by Roscoe Keenan. In the 36th minute, Micah Tompkins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Van Ortega made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Josef Tang sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Woodstock's Roscoe Keenan got a free kick in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Josef Tang cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Van Ortega came out of the goal and Micah Tompkins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Theodore Chen was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Micah Tompkins in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Van Ortega saved Woodstock from getting behind. In the 59thth minute of the game Josef Tang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Woodstock's Van Ortega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Theodore Chen charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Theodore Chen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Theodore Chen kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Van Ortega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Tang in the 72nd minute of the match. Van Ortega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Van Ortega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. A collision led to Woodstock getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Tad Toney hit a great ball. Van Ortega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Micah Tompkins, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Josef Tang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lancaster FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Josef Tang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Van Ortega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
