Van Draper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Rubin Engle made a huge save. Ali Barbour hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Van Draper got free with Rubin Engle in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Miller Place FC fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Miller Place FC's Darin Correa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eusebio Lyon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Sanford in the 84th minute of play. Robinson Township AFC's Nigel Bergstrom got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute.
