Nelson Stein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jaime Donahue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chance Rafferty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Ford in the 8th minute of play. Jaime Donahue made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Nelson Stein sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Phillip Nickerson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jaime Donahue. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Juvenaldo's Steve Norwood nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chance Rafferty made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The attack was good, but when Steve Norwood in the 29th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Phillip Nickerson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jaime Donahue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Stein in the 53rd minute of play forced Juvenaldo's goalkeeper Jaime Donahue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phillip Nickerson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Juvenaldo's Abdul Holliday slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Chance Rafferty. That made the score 1-2 after 60 minutes of play. If Nelson Stein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juvenaldo's Jaime Donahue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Stein in the 69th minute of play. Nelson Stein recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Juvenaldo booed when West Hollywood AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Harris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steve Norwood recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Juvenaldo's zone, Phillip Nickerson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Donahue came out of the goal and Phillip Nickerson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 82 minutes, Graham Crusher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the West Hollywood AFC and the Juvenaldo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 82 played minutes West Hollywood AFC got a freekick which was hit by Graham Crusher. If Steve Norwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Donahue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Stein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Juvenaldo's Abdul Holliday got a free kick in the 90th minute. The Juvenaldo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
