Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Renaldo Campbell got the match started through his kick off. Renaldo Campbell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glen Rangel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Stacy Stephenson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Glen Rangel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Carmi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Renaldo Campbell came free, but Lamar Toth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 minutes, Rufus Knapp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carmi AFC and the South Glens Falls players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of South Glens Falls booed when Carmi AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rufus Knapp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Carmi AFC's Franklin Marquez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Franklin Marquez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Carmi AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Franklin Marquez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carmi AFC! The referee gave South Glens Falls a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Oscar Todd, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Carmi AFC's Lamar Toth. 0-1. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carmi AFC's goalkeeper Lamar Toth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Son Huddleston got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Carmi AFC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Dennis Belanger hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Son Huddleston in the 36th minute of play forced Carmi AFC's goalkeeper Lamar Toth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stacy Stephenson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leroy Kessler went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Carmi AFC's Lamar Toth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renaldo Campbell in the 46th minute of play. If Leroy Kessler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leroy Kessler made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in South Glens Falls's zone, Leroy Kessler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stacy Stephenson came out of the goal and Leroy Kessler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cliff Jameson in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stacy Stephenson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stacy Stephenson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leroy Kessler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lionel Riker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stacy Stephenson having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Dennis Belanger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Theo Burch kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leroy Kessler in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stacy Stephenson saved South Glens Falls from getting behind. Leroy Kessler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stacy Stephenson having to interfere. Carmi AFC's Rufus Knapp got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stacy Stephenson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dennis Belanger went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Carmi AFC's Leroy Kessler got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 93 minutes of play, Carmi AFC's Leroy Kessler made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stacy Stephenson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 97 minutes into the match, Leroy Kessler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stacy Stephenson. South Glens Falls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leroy Kessler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. There was no doubt that Carmi AFC were the better team. Carmi AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
