Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Vance Barr started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. North Conway's Elvis Cormier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodger McGee in the 7th minute of play. After 16 played minutes North Conway got a freekick which was hit by Nicky Hamilton. Ty Farrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vance Barr, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Elvis Cormier made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Bobby Dillard sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Alturas booed when North Conway was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colin Black didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bobby Dillards short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Elvis Cormier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Vance Barr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vance Barr came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the North Conway fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vance Barr couldn't finish the play.

The wind increased when Rodger McGee made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Dillard in the 51st minute of play forced North Conway's goalkeeper Elvis Cormier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elvis Cormier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bobby Dillard, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Elvis Cormier came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Alturas's Rodger McGee. But to his dismay, Rodger McGee quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A hard shot 62 in the game by Vance Barr from a close distance when the talented Ty Farrell managed to make a qualified save. Alturas's players were relieved. Elvis Cormier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bobby Dillard, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Dillard in the 68th minute of play forced North Conway's goalkeeper Elvis Cormier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vance Barr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st match minute, North Conway was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Kearns to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, North Conway's goal looked a bit too open when Bobby Dillard came free, but Elvis Cormier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute Vance Barr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ty Farrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elvis Cormier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodger McGee in the 82nd minute of play. Elvis Cormier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bobby Dillard in the 87th minute of play. Elvis Cormier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bobby Dillard in the 88th minute of the match. North Conway's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
