In the 17th minute Jess Cherry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scotty Webster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trooper AFC's Scotty Webster proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Trooper AFC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Trooper AFC booed when Westbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeramy Yoshioka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jesus Kirkpatrick didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anton Baird went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Peter Matlock kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Westbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darrel Grant to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Louis Norwood to make the kick off. Jesus Kirkpatrick was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rodrick Workman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 51 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Wes Ogden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Wes Ogden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Scotty Webster breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wes Ogden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Scotty Webster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
