Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Trooper AFC's Louis Norwood started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gustavo Wyatt kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Louis Norwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Olin Carlson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 10 minutes, Louis Norwood managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trooper AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Louis Norwood was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Scotty Webster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kasey Holden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the game, Joel Schroeder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paynesville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trooper AFC the free kick. Joel Schroeder kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Scotty Webster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kasey Holden in the 18th minute of the match. Louis Norwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Olin Carlson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Kasey Holden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Bassett in the 27th minute of play forced Trooper AFC's goalkeeper Scotty Webster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Paynesville's goalkeeper Olin Carlson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Louis Norwood. 29 minutes into the match, Paynesville's Kasey Holden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Scotty Webster narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute Kasey Holden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scotty Webster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kasey Holden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Scotty Webster was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. If Tim Bassett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paynesville's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Anton Baird scored to the left of an out of position Olin Carlson, making the score, 1-0. Louis Norwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Olin Carlson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trooper AFC's Anton Baird got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anton Baird recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kasey Holden to strike the kick off in the second half. Kasey Holden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Scotty Webster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Paynesville's zone, Louis Norwood stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olin Carlson came out of the goal and Louis Norwood tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Junior Benitez kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute of the match Noel Grant sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olin Carlson skillfully saved the ball. Trooper AFC's Anton Baird got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donald Lujan hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Kasey Holden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Paynesville booed when Trooper AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tracey Grier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paynesville's Junior Benitez couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 81st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Trooper AFC. After a rather tough play, Trooper AFC's Benny McKenna got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute, Kasey Holden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Scotty Webster was a little too slow when Tim Bassett got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-1. Louis Norwood's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olin Carlson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
