Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Universitario AFC's Darren Booth started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 10 played minutes Universitario AFC got a freekick which was hit by Darius Dickson. 12 minutes into the game, Roosevelt Doyle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Universitario AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NBA314 the free kick. Roosevelt Doyle hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute of the match, Doug Powers sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Harry Bower showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. In the 15thth minute of the game Spencer Wade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NBA314's Eric Bacon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roosevelt Doyle got his second yellow card in the match during the 16th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of NBA314 booed when Universitario AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roosevelt Doyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Andy Bowers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, Spencer Wade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eric Bacon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Darren Booth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Bacon having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, NBA314 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kerry Irwin to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, DeAngelo Dodson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and NBA314's Eric Bacon didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Spencer Wade in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eric Bacon saved NBA314 from getting behind. Spencer Wade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Universitario AFC's goalkeeper Harry Bower had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kerry Irwin. NBA314's Eric Bacon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spencer Wade in the 40th minute of play. Spencer Wade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Eric Bacon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Spencer Wade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Bacon having to interfere. After the first half Universitario AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tracey Galindo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to NBA314 getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Emerson Newton hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Spencer Wade got free with Eric Bacon in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eric Bacon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Spencer Wade in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the match, NBA314's goalkeeper Eric Bacon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Spencer Wade. Wayne Bryant's late challenge caught a NBA314's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wayne Bryant helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st match minute, Universitario AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wayne Bryant to maneuver through the defense. Tracey Galindo charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tracey Galindo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 77th minute, but Eric Bacon got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving NBA314 hanging dry this time. After a defensive mix-up in NBA314's zone, Spencer Wade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Bacon came out of the goal and Spencer Wade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Universitario AFC's Darius Dickson got a free kick in the 80th minute. Spencer Wade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Bacon having to interfere. Dominique Carrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Eric Bacon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Spencer Wade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Universitario AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Spencer Wade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Bacon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Universitario AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
