Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Trey Rushing started the match with the kick off. Gilberto Fletcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandy Houser having to interfere. Sandy Houser didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fletcher Goodson went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wally Dodge in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dwight Jefferson saved Robertsville from getting behind. After 17 played minutes Johnsonburg got a freekick which was hit by Anson Tolbert. Gilberto Fletcher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. During the 24th minute of the match Anson Tolbert completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anson Tolbert a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 25th match minute, Johnsonburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anson Tolbert to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Fletcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandy Houser having to interfere. Sandy Houser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Fletcher in the 28th minute of the match. Oren Matson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dwight Jefferson having to interfere. Gilberto Fletcher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Robertsville booed when Johnsonburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wally Dodge didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute Fletcher Goodson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandy Houser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robertsville were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Johnsonburg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Domenico Medina took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Johnsonburg's goalie and right to Sherwood Emery. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Johnsonburg's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After the first half Robertsville were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gilberto Fletcher made the kick off in the second half. If Oren Matson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Robertsville's Gilberto Fletcher slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sandy Houser. That made the score 0-3 after 67 minutes of play. Fletcher Goodson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Robertsville's Gilberto Fletcher dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Johnsonburg's Sandy Houser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Fletcher in the 77th minute of play. After 79 minutes Johnsonburg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Domenico Medina who took care of the corner kick. Sherwood Emery made a great header on Robertsville's corner, it was just that Johnsonburg's Sandy Houser managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Gilberto Fletcher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Robertsville's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Fletcher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandy Houser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilberto Fletcher kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sandy Houser. That made the score 0-5 in the 82 minute of play. In the 87th minute, Gilberto Fletcher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Johnsonburg getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Wally Dodge hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Johnsonburg's zone, Gilberto Fletcher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandy Houser came out of the goal and Gilberto Fletcher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robertsville played a much better game than Johnsonburg and deserved their victory. The Johnsonburg players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
