Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rickie Sutton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 4 minutes, Royce Shannon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alexander City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Royce Shannon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 6 minutes into the match, Alexander City's Wyatt Wheeler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abe Branch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Theodore Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alexander City's supporters rose to their feet, but Theodore Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abe Branch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 11 played minutes Pixley AFC got a freekick which was hit by Wilber Huerta. Alexander City's Wyatt Wheeler got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tuan Moss struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Abe Branch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alexander City. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Tuan Moss managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alexander City's supporters rose to their feet, but Tuan Moss was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abe Branch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wyatt Wheeler got free with Abe Branch in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rickie Sutton during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Octavio Gilmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Abe Branch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Pixley AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Wyatt Wheeler came free, but Abe Branch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes in the game, Wyatt Wheeler fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Abe Branch having to interfere. Pixley AFC's Abe Branch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Pixley AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute Tuan Moss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abe Branch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Alexander City's Octavio Gilmore ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Abe Branch. Abe Branch yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tuan Moss stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tuan Moss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wyatt Wheeler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Theodore Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander City's Theodore Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Theodore Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Octavio Gilmore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abe Branch having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wyatt Wheeler in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abe Branch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Octavio Gilmore struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Abe Branch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alexander City. When Tuan Moss came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Alexander City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tuan Moss couldn't finish the play. If Octavio Gilmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pixley AFC's zone, Tuan Moss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abe Branch came out of the goal and Tuan Moss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Octavio Gilmore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Gilmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Abe Branch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
