The crowd rose to their feet as Diego McClain kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pascal McClelland. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Pascal McClelland was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Harry Nesbitt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Harry Nesbitt really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Dexter Colvin hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tracey Winters stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes King got a freekick which was hit by Darrel Castle. Harry Nesbitt hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tracey Winters in the 66th minute of play forced King's goalkeeper Pascal McClelland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. King's Pascal McClelland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Hearn in the 69th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Carlos Crum managed to get in a good position for a shot. King's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Crum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Dalton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 76 minutes into the game, INTER MIAMI's Garth Hearn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pascal McClelland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After having played for 79 minutes, Tracey Winters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTER MIAMI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tracey Winters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to INTER MIAMI getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Jarrett Dewitt hit a great ball. Harry Nesbitt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the INTER MIAMI players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
