Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Marquis Wilson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 6 minutes into the game, Sonny Mueller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Farrell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lexington FC the free kick. Lexington FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marquis Wilson 12 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Farrell's Tyron Rhodes got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lexington FC's zone, Stan Teague stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Napoleon Kimble came out of the goal and Stan Teague tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Farrell's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Pringle came free, but Fabian McLean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Drew Acuna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Fabian McLean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marquis Wilson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Napoleon Kimble took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquis Wilson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lexington FC's Drew Acuna got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Drew Acuna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fabian McLean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Drew Acuna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Napoleon Kimble showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquis Wilson in the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Lexington FC booed when Farrell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie White didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabian McLean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Drew Acuna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dale Montes fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lexington FC's protests and gave Dale Montes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lexington FC's Dale Montes got a free kick in the 64th minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Dennis Pringle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lexington FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Pringle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Drew Acuna might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabian McLean. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Drew Acuna ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Drew Acuna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lexington FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Drew Acuna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian McLean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Napoleon Kimble showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquis Wilson, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lexington FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Farrell.
