Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Matt Lamb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justin Crews having to interfere. After 10 played minutes New York City got a freekick which was hit by Randall Mullen. Jorge Gallardo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Justin Crews came out and tried to block the shot, but Jorge Gallardo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. In the 23rdth minute of the game Jorge Gallardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New York City's Justin Crews was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dario Bean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lamar Swain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Randall Mullen charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Randall Mullen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute of the match Milton Ruiz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Justin Crews skillfully saved the ball. After 34 played minutes Othello got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Russ. A collision led to New York City getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Merle Jenkins hit a great ball. Justin Crews showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Gallardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Cristopher Brunson kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Diego Jeffers hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Matt Lamb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Justin Crews tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Gallardo made a kick off. When Matt Lamb came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Othello fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matt Lamb couldn't finish the play. After 56 minutes, Jorge Gallardo made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. New York City's Justin Crews tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Othello getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Noah Duarte hit a great ball. Jorge Gallardo took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Justin Crews. Justin Crews dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. If Matt Lamb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matt Lamb in the 74th minute of play forced New York City's goalkeeper Justin Crews to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 minutes, Jorge Gallardo made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. New York City's Justin Crews tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Othello's Jorge Gallardo in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye New York City's goalie prevented a goal.
