Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Blister FC's Cary Burkhart started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Cary Burkhart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blister FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cary Burkhart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justin Crews breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the game, one of Blister FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 1-0 came through a penalty shot after 11 played minutes, when New York City:s Graham Driscoll calmly waited for Blister FC:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Bryan Wilson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Omar Nickerson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Trent Bragg, 2-0. After 26 minutes of play, Blister FC's Theodore Cermak made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Justin Crews was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the New York City defense, Cary Burkhart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Justin Crews. The New York City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justin Crews should have stopped the shot. Justin Crews showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryan Wilson in the 45th minute of the match. Dexter Payne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Justin Crews tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The New York City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Blister FC were winning 2-3.
After 52 played minutes New York City got a freekick which was hit by Daren Medrano. After having played for 53 minutes, Christian Rosenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blister FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Rosenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Theodore Cermak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justin Crews. New York City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Theodore Cermak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Bryan Wilson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Randall Mullen's late challenge caught a Blister FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justin Crews took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Wilson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of New York City booed when Blister FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses McCarthy didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, New York City's Daren Medrano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trent Bragg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Randall Mullen hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Dexter Payne struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Justin Crews didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blister FC. The audience was convinced that Theodore Cermak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justin Crews was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. 85 minutes into the match, Cary Burkhart dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Justin Crews, 2-5. Justin Crews came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Blister FC's Theodore Cermak. But to his dismay, Theodore Cermak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. Bryan Wilson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Theodore Cermak kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Justin Crews. That made the score 2-7 in the 95 minute of play.
