After a defensive mix-up in Valdosta FC's zone, Reed Coker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Cronin came out of the goal and Reed Coker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Reed Coker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Larry Benjamin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reed Coker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Cronin having to interfere. David Cronin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Hurst in the 30th minute. Tad Westbrook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reed Coker received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Cronin came out and tried to block the shot, but Reed Coker slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 33rd minute. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Reed Coker took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for David Cronin to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Hurst got free with David Cronin in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th match minute, Valdosta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scott Rosenthal to maneuver through the defense. Valdosta FC's David Cronin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reed Coker in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Revolutionary F.C. booed when Valdosta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Stinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Antonio Hurst had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Cronin. Valdosta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonio Hurst was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Antonio Hurst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. David Cronin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Valdosta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reed Coker came free, but David Cronin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Cronin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reed Coker, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After a rather tough play, Valdosta FC's Markus Stinson got a free kick in the 65th minute. Walter Crandall took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for David Cronin. Valdosta FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Antonio Hurst came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Revolutionary F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Hurst couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute Antonio Hurst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Cronin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Hurst blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Cronin having to make a save. Tad Westbrook fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Odom having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reed Coker in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Cronin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jerry Odom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tad Westbrook, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Revolutionary F.C. had won after a very even match.
