Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dwight Patton took the kick off in the first half of the match. Alistair Andrews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avery Wesley having to interfere. Duane Iverson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avery Wesley came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Citronelle FC's Mohammad Compton. But to his dismay, Mohammad Compton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Citronelle FC's Alistair Andrews got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mohammad Compton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stewart Fischer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Alvin Ortiz made a huge save. Citronelle FC's Alvin Ortiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Citronelle FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Clute FC booed when Citronelle FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gordon Akins didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Stewart Fischer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clute FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stewart Fischer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvin Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Clute FC's Duane Iverson got a free kick in the 31st minute. A collision led to Citronelle FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Marlin Acero hit a great ball. After the first half Citronelle FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mohammad Compton to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Mohammad Compton took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Avery Wesley to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stewart Fischer in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvin Ortiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dwight Patton took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvin Ortiz. Alvin Ortiz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Alvin Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dwight Patton in the 61st minute of the match. Marlin Acero kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, Wilbur Schafer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Citronelle FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clute FC the free kick. A collision led to Citronelle FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Wilbur Schafer hit a great ball. If Stewart Fischer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alistair Andrews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avery Wesley having to interfere. Avery Wesley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohammad Compton in the 73rd minute of play. In the 77th minute, Mohammad Compton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Avery Wesley. The goal made the score 1-3.
