After 12 minutes, Cody Torres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Waveland and the Lakehurst FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cody Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. If Brett Melendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Mason Bryant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lakehurst FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mason Bryant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mitchell Paul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mickey Steiner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrick Humphrey in the 18th minute of play. Javier Kelly kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ted Thompson in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mickey Steiner saved Lakehurst FC from getting behind. 28 minutes into the game, Mason Bryant lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Mitchell Paul. Lakehurst FC's Mickey Steiner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Thompson in the 34th minute of play. Brett Melendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Waveland's Mitchell Paul got control of the ball when Mason Bryant tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brett Melendez was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Lakehurst FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Mitchell Paul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mason Bryant in the 44th minute of play. Graham Murdock hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute Ted Thompson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickey Steiner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrick Humphrey to make the kick off. Waveland's Cody Torres got his second yellow card of the match in the 51st minute. The referee ordered Cody Torres off the ground. Lakehurst FC's Billy Maurer couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Waveland. Mitchell Paul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mason Bryant in the 55th minute of the match. Lakehurst FC's Brett Melendez got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brett Melendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Waveland's goal looked a bit too open when Mason Bryant came free, but Mitchell Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Lakehurst FC's Brett Melendez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mitchell Paul made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Javier Kelly's late challenge caught a Waveland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javier Kelly helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Javier Kelly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mitchell Paul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brett Melendez went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 75thth minute of the game Mason Bryant who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Waveland's Mitchell Paul was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mitchell Paul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mason Bryant in the 77th minute of play. If Mason Bryant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mitchell Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mason Bryant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waveland's Mitchell Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brett Melendez in the 89th minute of play. Lakehurst FC's Brett Melendez got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Waveland's goalkeeper Mitchell Paul, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Brett Melendez took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mitchell Paul. Mitchell Paul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lakehurst FC fully deserved thier win.
