Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 2 minutes into the match, Stewart Fischer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mitchell Paul. Waveland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stewart Fischer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Stewart Fischer struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Mitchell Paul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clute FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dwight Patton in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mitchell Paul prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute, Ted Thompson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 23 played minutes Clute FC got a freekick which was hit by Danny Vargas. 30 minutes into the match, Waveland's goal looked a bit too open when Stewart Fischer came free, but Mitchell Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Stewart Fischer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitchell Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mitchell Paul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stewart Fischer in the 39th minute of the match. If Duane Iverson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dwight Patton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Waveland getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Toby Sweet hit a great ball. In the 49thth minute of the game Stewart Fischer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Waveland's Mitchell Paul was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dwight Patton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Clute FC's Avery Wesley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Thompson in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Waveland's Ted Thompson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Avery Wesley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mitchell Paul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dwight Patton in the 60th minute of the match. Avery Wesley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrick Humphrey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Waveland's zone, Stewart Fischer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mitchell Paul came out of the goal and Stewart Fischer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mitchell Paul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dwight Patton, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Clute FC's Stewart Fischer got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dwight Patton in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mitchell Paul prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dwight Patton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitchell Paul having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danny Vargas got free with Mitchell Paul in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Avery Wesley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Thompson in the 93rd minute of play. Danny Vargas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 97th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Dwight Patton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
