Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Citronelle FC's Mohammad Compton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alvin Ortiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ted Thompson in the 3rd minute. Marlin Acero hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Rodrick Humphrey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvin Ortiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrick Humphrey in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvin Ortiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Waveland's Mitchell Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alistair Andrews in the 11th minute of play. When Alistair Andrews came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Citronelle FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alistair Andrews couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Waveland's Rodrick Humphrey dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Alistair Andrews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cody Torres hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Citronelle FC's Louis Lloyd broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cody Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Waveland's Norbert Hardin got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammad Compton in the 35th minute of play forced Waveland's goalkeeper Mitchell Paul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Alistair Andrews managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Citronelle FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alistair Andrews was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvin Ortiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ted Thompson in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrick Humphrey to make the kick off. Waveland's Mitchell Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohammad Compton in the 51st minute of play. Alistair Andrews's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mitchell Paul firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Citronelle FC booed when Waveland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliot Flint didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 57 minutes of play, Citronelle FC's Alistair Andrews made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mitchell Paul was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mohammad Compton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 played minutes Citronelle FC got a freekick which was hit by Marlin Acero. Rodrick Humphrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Alvin Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marlin Acero kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Rodrick Humphrey struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Alvin Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Waveland. Ted Thompson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrick Humphrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alvin Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohammad Compton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Mitchell Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Waveland's Cody Torres got a free kick in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Citronelle FC's zone, Rodrick Humphrey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvin Ortiz came out of the goal and Rodrick Humphrey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Waveland supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Citronelle FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Citronelle FC.
