Alex Woodall went to the cornerflag to take it. 22 minutes into the match, Plantation AFC's Leroy Hand sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Titus Lawrence narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Almont AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Fisher. When Woodrow Odell came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Plantation AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Woodrow Odell couldn't finish the play. When Duke Howell fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Almont AFC's protests and gave Duke Howell a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Plantation AFC booed when Almont AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duke Howell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Jackson Sorenson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almont AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Giuseppe Grayson made an important save on a dangerous shot by DeMarcus Culver in the 36th minute. Giuseppe Grayson made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when DeMarcus Culver sent off a good shot on target. When Alfonso Dennis was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. A collision led to Plantation AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Alfonso Dennis hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Plantation AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jackson Sorenson came free, but Giuseppe Grayson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leroy Hand made a kick off. Jackson Sorenson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe Grayson having to interfere. After having played for 54 minutes, Leroy Hand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plantation AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leroy Hand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, Leroy Hand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ned Whitt hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jackson Sorenson in the 66th minute of play forced Plantation AFC's goalkeeper Giuseppe Grayson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Jackson Sorenson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giuseppe Grayson. Plantation AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jackson Sorenson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 77th minute, Jeremy Ibarra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ned Whitt struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Titus Lawrence didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plantation AFC. After 88 played minutes Almont AFC got a freekick which was hit by Duke Howell. Giuseppe Grayson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Tim Frank's late challenge caught a Plantation AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tim Frank helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Plantation AFC booed when Almont AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Frank didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Almont AFC were victorious despite being under pressure from Plantation AFC for much of the match.
