Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ty Allison started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ty Allison in the 4th minute of play forced South Tucson's goalkeeper Winston Escobar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ty Allison scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Winston Escobar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Winston Escobar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alec Hawley in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Ty Allison notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of South Tucson's Winston Escobar. Winston Escobar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilton Woodson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Art Baggett made a huge save. Winston Escobar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ty Allison in the 28th minute of play. When Wilton Woodson came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the South Tucson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilton Woodson couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilton Woodson in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Art Baggett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Winston Escobar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ty Allison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Woodson in the 44th minute of play forced Dolton AFC's goalkeeper Art Baggett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Art Baggett managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when South Tucson's Wilton Woodson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Alec Hawley came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Dolton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alec Hawley couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilton Woodson was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Dolton AFC booed when South Tucson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jackson Lloyd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ty Allison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Wilton Woodson came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the South Tucson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilton Woodson couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, South Tucson's Winston Escobar got control of the ball when Alec Hawley tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute, Eric Summers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Ty Allison fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Wilton Woodson hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, South Tucson's goal looked a bit too open when Ty Allison came free, but Winston Escobar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Winston Escobar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ty Allison, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When South Tucson's Wilton Woodson in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dolton AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Dolton AFC booed when South Tucson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Hendrix didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Dolton AFC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant South Tucson side.
