But to his dismay, Ty Allison quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Art Baggett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sydney Dougherty in the 32nd minute. 2-3 became the score in the 33rd minute when Sydney Dougherty elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Clint Pratt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Art Baggett, 3-3. Monte Beatty didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alec Hawley went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 3-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osvaldo Smart made a kick off. 63 minutes into the game, charlotte fc's Sydney Dougherty nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Art Baggett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-4. When Davis Tidwell fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored charlotte fc's protests and gave Davis Tidwell a yellow card for diving instead. Alec Hawley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Dolton AFC booed when charlotte fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudy Dietz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 74 played minutes Dolton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nolan Cantrell. Sydney Dougherty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Art Baggett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Art Baggett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Smart in the 88th minute of the match. Sydney Dougherty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Art Baggett having to interfere. Art Baggett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Smart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sydney Dougherty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th match minute, charlotte fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davis Tidwell to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that charlotte fc were the better team. charlotte fc's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
