The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Monte Beatty showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Osvaldo Smart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Schneider to strike the kick off in the second half. Osvaldo Smart struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Randy Whitman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for charlotte fc. In the 59thth minute of the game Osvaldo Smart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Buffalo AFC's Randy Whitman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Monte Beatty acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zachary Izturis. Randy Whitman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Smart in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute Sydney Dougherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randy Whitman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes charlotte fc got a freekick which was hit by Clint Pratt. Monte Beatty made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Tyrone Day sent off a good shot on target. Sydney Dougherty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randy Whitman having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tyrone Day got free with Monte Beatty in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Smart notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of New Buffalo AFC's Randy Whitman. Randy Whitman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of charlotte fc booed when New Buffalo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute of the match charlotte fc got a corner. New Buffalo AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
