Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jeremy Cottrell kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the game, Shelton Chung recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Domenico Rice. Shelton Chung showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Ephrata FC's Dallas Goodrich got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute of the match Woody Buckley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domenico Rice skillfully saved the ball. Domenico Rice made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Hank Kimball sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute, Jeramy Shoemaker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremy Cottrell in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Odell Butcher saved Poulsbo FC from getting behind. In the 21st minute Alexander Christie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Odell Butcher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremy Cottrell in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Odell Butcher saved Poulsbo FC from getting behind. Hank Kimball took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Domenico Rice. Domenico Rice dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Jeremy Cottrell came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Ephrata FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremy Cottrell couldn't finish the play. Odell Butcher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Christie in the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 minutes, Troy Landis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poulsbo FC and the Ephrata FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Troy Landis hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When Jeremy Cottrell came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Ephrata FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremy Cottrell couldn't finish the play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shelton Chung stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ephrata FC's Dallas Goodrich got a free kick in the 57th minute. Blake Fujieda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Monty Naylor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th match minute, Poulsbo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Landis to maneuver through the defense. When Ephrata FC's Jeremy Cottrell in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Poulsbo FC's goalie prevented a goal. 75 minutes into the match, Ephrata FC's Jeremy Cottrell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Odell Butcher narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Domenico Rice made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Troy Landis in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Alexander Christie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ephrata FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Christie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute, Jeremy Cottrell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ephrata FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 89 minutes of play, Ephrata FC's Alexander Christie made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Odell Butcher was left in no man's land by his defense there! 93 minutes into the match, Shelton Chung had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domenico Rice. Ephrata FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shelton Chung was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ephrata FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Poulsbo FC.
