Winford Thacker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cliff Emery's late challenge caught a Crestview Hills FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cliff Emery helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th match minute, North Carolina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cliff Emery to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute German Whittaker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Winford Thacker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16thth minute of the game Dario Roy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but North Carolina FC's Winford Thacker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the North Carolina FC defense, Dario Roy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Winford Thacker. The North Carolina FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Winford Thacker should have stopped the shot. After having played for 27 minutes, Dario Roy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crestview Hills FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Roy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. German Whittaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Winford Thacker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Winford Thacker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Whittaker, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When Crestview Hills FC's Dario Roy in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye North Carolina FC's goalie prevented a goal. The referee gave Crestview Hills FC a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wendell McCann in the 48th minute of play forced North Carolina FC's goalkeeper Winford Thacker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

A collision led to North Carolina FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Cyrus Christopher hit a great ball. The supporters of North Carolina FC booed when Crestview Hills FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickie Golden didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Dudley Dill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Carolina FC's Winford Thacker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Roy in the 60th minute of play. German Whittaker who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Winford Thacker when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dario Roy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Winford Thacker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Winford Thacker was a little too slow when Dario Roy got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-4. 79 minutes into the game, Crestview Hills FC's Dario Roy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Winford Thacker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. In the 84th minute of the match, Dario Roy tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Winford Thacker saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Winford Thacker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dario Roy's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After 89 played minutes Crestview Hills FC got a freekick which was hit by Rickie Golden. North Carolina FC's Dudley Dill got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Crestview Hills FC played a much better game than North Carolina FC and deserved their victory. The North Carolina FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
