Tory Dunlap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lanny Banning in the 14th minute of the match. With his leg Otis Kuhn managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Oak Hill AFC's Romeo Hathaway fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Griffins's Otis Kuhn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Christian in the 31st minute of play. When Alvin German came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Griffins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvin German couldn't finish the play. When Oak Hill AFC's Emery Sands in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tory Dunlap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm Meyer in the 45th minute of play. Earl Barlow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Emery Sands made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Emery Sands shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otis Kuhn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emery Sands in the 55th minute of play forced Griffins's goalkeeper Otis Kuhn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lanny Banning might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tory Dunlap. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lanny Banning ran back to his position shaking his head. If Romeo Hathaway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. Griffins's Earl Barlow got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Napoleon Newby got a throw-in 93 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Rolland Blum. Otis Kuhn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emery Sands in the 94th minute of play.
