In the 6th minute of the match Ty Valle sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricky Potter skillfully saved the ball. Mel Redd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ricky Potter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pharr FC's Ricky Potter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucien Uribe in the 11th minute of play. Arturo Burrell's late challenge caught a St. Andrews's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mel Redd got in the 13th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ricky Potter handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Mel Redd managed to get in a good position for a shot. St. Andrews's supporters rose to their feet, but Mel Redd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricky Potter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mel Redd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricky Potter having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Lucien Uribe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricky Potter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricky Potter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mel Redd, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. St. Andrews's Jesse Bruner suffered a sore thigh after 24 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to St. Andrews getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Rocco Haynes hit a great ball. Stacey Engel scored 1-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donovan Calhoun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 44 minutes of play, St. Andrews's Lucien Uribe made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricky Potter was left in no man's land by his defense there! The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 53rd minute Stacey Engel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donovan Calhoun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucien Uribes short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Ricky Potter to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 68 minutes, Brock Eddy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pharr FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brock Eddy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 74 played minutes Pharr FC got a freekick which was hit by Jerold Andrade. Jerold Andrade's late challenge caught a St. Andrews's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ricky Potter, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 80 played minutes Pharr FC got a freekick which was hit by Jerold Andrade. 84 minutes into the match, Pharr FC's goalkeeper Ricky Potter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucien Uribe.
