The audience was convinced that Troy Rivera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leon Ruff was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Quinn Lowry in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mario Croft prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leon Ruff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Troy Rivera in the 22nd minute of play. When Troy Rivera came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Douglasville AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Troy Rivera couldn't finish the play. Leon Ruff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darell Barton, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Mario Croft showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Bolton in the 31st minute of the match. Leon Ruff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Troy Rivera's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Rodrigo Grier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Leon Ruff made a huge save. Leon Ruff was a little too slow when Troy Rivera got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 1-1. The referee gave Genoa CFC a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thaddeus Crocker, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Douglasville AFC's Mario Croft. 1-2. The Douglasville AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Genoa CFC were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Troy Rivera made the kick off in the second half. If Troy Rivera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Genoa CFC's Benito Bartlett got a free kick in the 58th minute. Leon Ruff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Troy Rivera's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Mario Croft showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradley Bolton, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Quinn Lowry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Croft having to interfere. If Darell Barton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Troy Rivera in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leon Ruff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Troy Rivera in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leon Ruff saved Genoa CFC from getting behind. After 72 played minutes Genoa CFC got a freekick which was hit by Rupert Lunsford. Mario Croft showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradley Bolton, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Rudolph Park hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 78 played minutes, Douglasville AFC's Eric Costello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leon Ruff came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Douglasville AFC reached it. In the 84th play minute Quinn Lowry came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mario Croft. 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sanford Ratliff during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Douglasville AFC's Sanford Ratliff got a free kick in the 87th minute. Douglasville AFC's Troy Rivera managed to work through Genoa CFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Troy Rivera dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quinn Lowry got free with Mario Croft in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
