Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bob Groves took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Marcos Sharpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, Crossfire's goalkeeper Denver Briggs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nathanial Goodson. Drew House kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Rich Epps hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. A hard shot 15 in the game by Bob Groves from a close distance when the talented Denver Briggs managed to make a qualified save. Crossfire's players were relieved. Jamul FC's Neil Maher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lyle Walsh in the 17th minute of play. In the 24th minute Bob Groves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denver Briggs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Crossfire getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Darius Pitts hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Crossfire's Dwayne Ernst got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 31 minutes of play, Crossfire's Lyle Walsh made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Neil Maher was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Crossfire's zone, Bob Groves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denver Briggs came out of the goal and Bob Groves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordan Beebe in the 53rd minute of play forced Jamul FC's goalkeeper Neil Maher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bob Groves in the 55th minute of play forced Crossfire's goalkeeper Denver Briggs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neil Maher was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Joe Bravo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joe Bravo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After 64th play minutes Lyle Walsh shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Neil Maher and just under the crossbar into goal. Robby Kerr hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mckinley Figueroa during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Denver Briggs didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Jamul FC's Bob Groves shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-4 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dwayne Ernst in the 77th minute of play forced Jamul FC's goalkeeper Neil Maher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Jamul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dwayne Ernst came free, but Neil Maher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denver Briggs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Groves in the 86th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Kelly Erickson notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Crossfire's Denver Briggs. Denver Briggs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The corner led Jamul FC's Pete Edmondson to fire away a dangerous shot which Denver Briggs despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bob Groves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Denver Briggs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Crossfire were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Jamul FC's much stronger midfield.
